New Forest Green Stadium Plans Approved

Stroud District Council have given outline planning permission to Forest Green's Plans to build the 'Worlds greenest football stadium'. This is after the Council originally rejected the plans in June this year. The proposed stadium is to be built near Junction 13 of the M5, eight miles away from the site of the New Lawn Ground and is to be constructed entirely of wood. The New Lawn is in itself fairly new being 13 years old, but with accessibility issues, the present New Lawn Ground, can't easily cope with any further growth in attendances. Whilst the new stadium will be easier to get to and have a wider catchment area in terms of population to attract more support. We will await further news as to when construction of the new stadium will commence.
