1. Why you were looking forward to going to
the ground (or not as the case may be): I was looking forward to visiting
Molineux because i knew it was a good ground that could easily host a
premiership side. I had booked earlier in the week and as at the time
i had only been to one away game (Birmingham), i knew this would be
another fantastic place to visit.
2. How easy was your
journey/finding the ground/car parking: Went up on the
supporters coach so no need to worry about finding the ground, but when we
did arrive the coach parked about 3 minutes away from the ground - and it
was a mostly downhill walk to the supporters end, which was pretty easy to
find.
3. What you did before the game pub/chippy.... home fans
friendly? Went straight from the coach to the ground, when we
were walking down there was a mix of Argyle and Wolves fans but no trouble
and seemed to get on pretty well.
4. What you thought on seeing the
ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the
ground? While i was
on the coach, and a few minutes away from the ground you get your first
glimpse and my thoughts were wow! Walking towards the ground you see the
away end which is quite unimpressive but if you see
other sides you realise what a fantastic ground the Molineux
really is.
5. Comment on the game itself, atmosphere,
stewards, pies, toilets etc.. The game itself (Wolves v
Argyle) was a pretty good game, and although i was only in row C in
the away end i found the view pretty good. You're high enough up to see
everything and the far side of the pitch etc, but like every other ground
the further you are up the stand, the better your view will probably be.
The atmosphere was better than Birmingham with the Wolves fans singing
every now and again and at one point both sets of fans linked up! The
stewards were pretty relaxed, and left us to do whatever we were doing and
didn't interfere meaning a happy Green Army! The toilets which were a bit
cramped, so if you're a bit claustrophobic i would advise trying to go
toilet else before/after the match!
6. Comment on getting away from
the ground after the game Just like before the game, it was a
short walk back to the coach afterwards, and again there was a mix of
Wolves and Argyle fans walking up the same way - and there was no
trouble.
7. Summary of overall thoughts of the day
out A very good ground, a pretty decent game and the stewards
let us to do what we liked which was good. The fans seemed pretty friendly
to me, and i would like to go to the Molineux again - maybe next
season!
