The Good
Companion pub on Eastern Road was okay with a mixed fan base and a
mixture of families... However there were large queues for beer and
food....Get there early is my advice'.

'My
first impressions were excitement on seeing a classic older style
ground. It even smelt like the grounds I visited as a
lad'.

'You
see the floodlights first and the ground somehow seems to be wedged
between terraced houses. Quite nostalgic..'

'The roof they had erected,
had several pillars which left people with restricted view sears, sold at
normal price – not impressive'.
|
Dean Willard

'The away end is basically
seats screwed to the old terrace which can be a bit tight for leg
room.....but with the addition of the new covering roof it creates a
terrific atmosphere for the more vocal away fans'.

'First impressions of the ground were that it is
one of those classic, old style grounds which I absolutely love.'

'For a Premiership club ....
its facilities are just poor. Of course you'd
think that I would say that...'
|
Andrew Cook
(Reading) 21/4/03 |
' Finding your seat is not
that difficult but getting into it is. It’s a tight squeeze if like me
your in the 6ft region, and be prepared to have to move a lot as fans come
past you'. |
