Rainbow Stand,
The Hawthorns
|

When this stand was opened in 1964, it was called the East Stand, but became known to supporters as the Rainbow Stand, as it had brightly painted seats. Originally it had terrace to the front, but this was replaced with a row of executive boxes and more seating in 1977. It was eventually demolished to make way for a new stand in 2001. Notice on the above the photo the portions of old terrace to either side.
