Main Stand - Plainmoor

| The original Main
Stand was originally purchased from nearby
Buckfastleigh racecourse and was erected at
Plainmoor in 1927, In the photo below the Main
Stand is pictured below on the left. You may
notice that the dug outs to the front of the
stand seem to be off centre. This is because
part of the Stand was destroyed by fire in 1985.
The stand pictured to the right of the Main
Stand was opened as an extension in 1954. Both
structures were demolished in 2011 to be
replaced by the new Bristow's
Bench stand in 2012. |
