West Stand This Stand was first opened in 1929. It was demolished in 2001 and replaced
with the Sir Stanley Matthews Stand.
South Stand This Stand was first
opened in 1925.
It was demolished in 2003, but its
replacement,
the Jimmy Armfield Stand didn't
materilaise until 2010.

Notice that the original floodlights
had been replaced by then.

East Paddock This was demolished in 2002
and replaced with a temporary seated
stand.
It was also affectionately known as
the 'scratching shed.'
