The long running saga of the possibility of a building new stadium for Aberdeen may be nearing its end as the Local Council have now approved planning permission for a new 20,000 capacity stadium. This would be built to the west of Aberdeen just off the A944 in the Westhill/Kingsford area.
Although a big step forward, there is opposition to the plans, as the stadium is to be built on green belt land. Those who are against the plans are hoping to force a judicial view of the planning decision, so the long running saga may have a few more chapters to be written yet.
