MK Dons v Cheltenham Town

1. Why you were
looking forward to going to the ground (or not as the case may
be):
I was looking forward
to visiting Stadium Mk because it was a new stadium and I had never been
there before. This was a very important game for Cheltenham because they
had only won 1 point from 6 games away from home that season but it was
just as important for Mk Dons because they were on great form and
looked unstoppable. So I know that it would be a very entertaining
game.
2. How
easy was your journey/finding the ground/car parking:
It
was very easy getting into Milton Keynes the trip was about 2 hours.
(Because bird flew into a window and cracked it on the bus) The
ground was also very easy to find because there was not much around the
ground and it is also very big. The Car Park is just
outside of the ground and there is a lot of space to park but coming
out of the ground you have to wait for everyone to go before you
can.
3. What you did
before the game pub/chippy.... home fans
friendly?
We got to the ground
at about 1:00pm and we just went straight in because there was no where to
go before the game. But we got something to eat in side the ground. The
food was very expensive and was about the same price as Wembley. You can
get what they usually have at football matches chips, pies, hot dogs and
there was also beer to buy.
4. What you thought
on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of
the ground?
When I first got
inside the ground and saw the stands I thought that it was a smaller
Wembley because it is the same lay-out and is very big. It was very cold
inside the ground because the stadium was not finished and it didn't have
a roof on it but all together I thought that the ground was very nice and
should be a championship one next season.
5. Comment on the
game itself, atmosphere, stewards, pies, toilets
etc..
The game itself was
very good in the first half there was a sending off to their keeper and a
penalty save by the Cheltenham keeper. The atmosphere was very quite from
the home support they only started singing when they scored a goal but
Cheltenham weren't any louder. The stewards were very helpful and were
kind. The food was very nice and you had a lot for your money. Also the
toilets were very clean.
6. Comment on getting
away from the ground after the game:
Getting away from the ground was very
easy we just had
to wait on the coach until all the home supporters went before we could
head home.
7. Summary of overall
thoughts of the day out:
I thought the day was
a great day it was a really nice ground and everything was good accept
from the result where we lost 3-1 and had a player sent
off! |
