Vs Burton Albion, Conference National, 3pm
By Scott Morley

Why you were looking forward to going to the ground (or not as the case may be)?

I had planned a few away matches to go to earlier in the season and chose Kidderminster as it wasn’t a million miles away. I’d also read that it was a decent ground to which made me want to come.

How easy was your journey/finding the ground/car parking?

I drove to the match and its easy enough finding the town and once I got on the ring road there were clear signs to Aggborough so had no problems finding the ground. I parked at the car park next to the stadium which cost £3.

What you did before the game pub/chippy.... home fans friendly?

I went straight to the ground so didn’t stop at any sights.

What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the ground?

Aggborough is a good ground by Conference standards, but I thought it had too much seating which meant the two seating stands looked quite empty, whereas the two terraces behind the goals were fairly fullish. The away end was alright and I had a perfect view from the top of the away terrace and could see the whole pitch.

Comment on the game itself, atmosphere, stewards, pies, toilets etc..

The game was a goalless draw and it was amazing that neither team scored as both missed open nets and hit woodwork, a bit boring at times though. Us Burton fans were by far the loudest of the sets of fans and the home fans didn’t sing much apart from a few spells in the second half. The staff we’re  friendly enough and the food was top mark, Cottage Pie, Chicken Curry and Chow Mein.

Comment on getting away from the ground after the game.

I thought I would be stuck in the car park for a while but managed to get straight out and the roads were almost empty.

Summary of overall thoughts of the day out:

A very good visit to Aggborough, shame Burton didn’t win or score. I would visit again as the ground was good and the food was excellent.

Are you an away or general football fan who has visited Aggborough recently?
If so why not submit your own review of the ground and general day out?
