1. Why you were looking forward to going to the ground (or not as the case may be):

As I live 130 miles from London I don't get to as many games as I would like to. So a visit to Cheltenham which is only 50 miles from where I live appealed to me and I was also told that the town was a pleasant place to visit.

2. How easy was your journey/finding the ground/car parking?

The journey up was fine and being a nice day I decided to take my motorbike but finding the ground was a nightmare as it wasn't signposted until you got right on top of it. Apparently if you enter the town from the east or north then the signs are good but enter from the south or west and you need a sat nav. I had to stop and ask four times for directions and eventually found it more by accident than anything else.

The stewards let me park my bike in the members only car park which was nice of them but if you go by car I would have to advise using the park & ride from Cheltenham race course as around the ground your pushing your luck a bit with the yellow lines and police.

3. What you did before the game pub/chippy.... home fans friendly?

Because it took me so long to find the ground I didn't get there until 20 mins before kick off so I didn't have a chance to pub it.

4. What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the ground.?

My first impression of the ground was it's small and back to front because the away fans are seated and the home fans have to stand
(maybe they prefer it that way) but the in2print stand looked new if small and the other side looked like a normal non league stand with terracing and seats. Being that they are a smallish club ( no offence ) I wasn't really expecting an impressive ground.

5. Comment on the game itself, atmosphere, stewards, pies, toilets etc..

It was a very good game even though we lost (we was robbed!) but due to the smallish crowd the atmosphere wasn't all that, although Millwall did make some noise there was no real hostility. I spoke to a steward at half time about having a fag cos your not aloud to smoke in the stand and he let me light one up standing by the pitch and was quite friendly which makes a change from the jobs worth that we normally encounter. I was told that the stewards there can be quite quick to chuck you out for the slightest thing but I found the ones I came across helpful, maybe I was just lucky I dunno.

6. Comment on getting away from the ground after the game:

The funny thing about this was the tannoy announcing will the Cheltenham fans please stay behind after the game, who's the home team here and they seemed a bit ticked off about it ha ha but getting away was a lot easier than getting there with no trouble at all and the traffic was minimal.

7. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out:

If I go again I will leave a lot earlier and sample some pubs beforehand because in the town centre there was a lot of nice looking watering holes in a very picturesque setting although the ground itself is in a bit of a run down part of the town near a housing estate but compared to Bermondsey it seemed quite nice.

Definitely a nice place to visit and most away fans should have a very pleasant weekend away just get your bearings right as to where the ground is because you cant really follow the crowd.
