We were
looking forward to going to the ground as
Chelsea are one of the worlds best teams and
we wanted to see some world class players,
also to give support to Leicester City as we
had been doing well recently in the Carling Cup with wins at
Accrington Stanley, Nottingham Forest and
Aston Villa.
2. How easy was your journey/finding
the ground/car parking:
The journey was quite long and a bit
boring, we came on the official Leicester
city coaches (Fox Travel) which offer a very
good service. I think the driver found it a
bit hard to find the ground but when we did
get to our space it was easy to park then we
had to walk about a quarter of a mile to the
ground, which was good because we was in a
big group and we was singing all the way.
3. What you
did before the game pub/chippy.... home fans
friendly?
Before the game we was stuck on the
coaches, the home fans weren't very
welcoming as we got a lot of gesturing.
after we arrived there we walked to the
ground and the home fans were ok then.
4. What you thought on seeing the ground,
first impressions of away end then other
sides of the ground?
When I first got to the ground, the outside
looked amazing even from the away end, and
when I got inside I still wasn't let down,
it was huge inside compared to the Leicester
city stadium even though that is a
reasonably sized stadium. The ground quickly
filled up with fans which shown even
though Chelsea were playing a
championship team they still had good
support.
5. Comment
on the game itself, atmosphere, stewards,
pies, toilets etc..
The game was amazing, especially going 1-0
up in the first few minutes, the atmosphere
throughout the game was great as the
Leicester fans never stopped singing even
when we were losing, when Chelsea were
losing the fans heads seemed to drop a bit
and they only seemed to sing when they were
winning. The stewards were very helpful in
helping find your seat and were quite polite
during the game. the food there, apart from
being very dear was quite nice, good quality
pies. The toilets seemed clean and it was
good that they and the food bars were right
behind your seats you didn't have to go back
down into the stadium to get your food.
6. Comment
on getting away from the ground after the
game:
Getting away from the ground after the game
was pretty easy, the police escorted us all
the way and made sure we all got back safe
even though the Chelsea fans were taunting
us. Even though we had lost all the fans
that travelled from Leicester still sang on
the way back to the coaches.
7.
Summary of overall thoughts of the day out:
We thought that it was an amazing day out
and a good experience from start to
finish and if we had the chance we
would definitely go there again.
