Stan Mortensen Statue |

| Stan
Mortensen played for Blackpool between 1941 and
1955, where he clocked up 317 appearances and
scoring 197 goals. He was also capped 25 times
by England, scoring 23 goals. He is best
remembered for the hat trick he scored at
Wembley in the 1953 FA Cup Final when Blackpool
defeated Bolton 4-3 to lift the trophy. He
passed away in 1991. The statue was erected in
