| Jimmy
Armfield played his whole career at Blackpool,
which spanned 17 years. In that time, the
defender clocked up a club record of 569 league
and cup appearances. He was also capped by
England 43 times. The statue which cost £100,000, was paid for by the Blackpool Supporters Association and was unveiled by Jimmy Armfield himself in May 2011. Thanks to Pete
